Board of Directors - Candidates

The Board of Directors positions of Vice President and Treasurer Bayshore Soccer Club are up for election. Candidate bios are below, voting information will be emailed to member families.

Bill Shepard- VP

Hi my name is William Shepard but I go by Bill or Shep.  My wife Stacy and I are originally from Delaware County Pa.  We have lived in Queenstown for the past 15 years.   We have three kids, our daughter Kaitlyn and two boys Weston and Grayson.   I was first introduced to soccer when both Weston and Grayson started playing at the recreation level about 4 years ago.     Now, I have a passion for the game just like they do and I enjoy watching and learning more every day.   We are big fans of the Philadelphia Union.   In the summer of 2023, I wanted to gain more of an understanding of the game and coaching, so I started to obtain my coaching licenses through the US Soccer grassroots program.   I have also attended a few of the in-person coaching seminars that Bayshore has offered to our coaches.   Currently, I’m the team manager for Coach Q’s 2014 Crew team that my son Weston has played on since the spring of 2023.   You will find me helping the coaches during practice, during games or taking pictures from the sideline.   Also, my other son Grayson has been playing for the Bayshore Braves since the fall of 2023, so you can usually find me somewhere around watching him play.

With the guidance from coaches, I feel that allowing young players to make their own decisions and mistakes during games, helps them become a more well-rounded player.   Thank you for the nomination, I look forward to helping Bayshore SC grow.

Amanda Baxley- VP

I’m a mom of 3 amazing kids that eat, sleep and breathe soccer. I have been involved on the sidelines for over 15 years with my sister beginning at 3/4 rec through college. My own children have all played rec since they were 3 but this is our first year with Bayshore. We love the organization and the coaches we’ve had and look forward to a future with them. I am running for Vice President to help the organization stay organized and communicate effectively with parents and coaches on and off season. I currently hold 2 positions on our schools very successful PTA that supports over 550 children. I very much enjoy being part of the community and want to help Bayshore be a successful and fun organization for our kids and families to grow with for years to come.

Zane Slatcher- Treasurer

My name is Zane Slatcher; we joined the Bayshore family in the Spring of 2024 when my son, Paxton, joined the Whitecaps.  I currently reside in Centreville with my wife (Nicole), two children (Paxton and Preston), and two dogs.  I currently work as a Senior Solutions Engineer for Trellix, supporting the IC and DoD.  This role, as well as previous roles, has afforded me the knowledge of how to properly utilize resources to best suit the needs of all parties - finding the most affordable way to address requirements.  I have also been an avid volunteer and supporter of my children's sports organizations, both on the field as a coach and assistant, and on the sidelines.  I'm interested in becoming Treasurer to help fulfill Bayshore's mission, give back to the community, and most of all, support the goals of all of our children.  I feel that my experience, passion, and determination would be a perfect match to ensure Bayshore retains financial stability for years to come.
